چکیده

We present a tensor-network approach for two-dimensional strong-coupling QCD with staggered quarks at nonzero chemical potential. After integrating out the gauge fields infinite coupling, partition function can be written as full contraction of tensor network consisting coupled local numeric and Grassmann tensors. To evaluate to compute observables, we develop higher-order renormalization group method, specifically tailored this model. During coarsening procedure, blocking adjacent tensors is performed analytically, total number variables in reduced by factor two each step. The coarse-site are truncated using singular value decompositions. method validated comparing function, chiral condensate baryon density computed exact analytical results on small lattices up volumes 4×4. For larger volumes, first mass volume, observe that symmetry not broken dynamically dimensions. also potential, which hint first-order phase transition.

A NUMERICAL RENORMALIZATION GROUP APPROACH FOR AN ELECTRON-PHONON INTERACTION

A finite chain calculation in terms of Hubbard X-operators is explored by setting up a vibronic Harniltonian. The model conveniently transformed into a form so that in the case of strong coupling a numerical renormalization group approach is applicable. To test the technique, a one particle Green function is calculated for the model Harniltonian

Renormalization-group approach to strong-coupled superconductors

We develop an asymptotically exact renormalization-group approach that treats electron-electron and electron-phonon interactions on an equal footing. The approach allows an unbiased study of the instabilities of Fermi liquids without the assumption of a broken symmetry. We apply our method to the problem of strongly coupled superconductors and find the temperature T* below which the high-temper...

Strong coupling superconductivity via an asymptotically exact renormalization-group framework

A renormalization-group approach for interacting electrons, which are also coupled to phonons was recently developed [1]. The method is described here in some detail, including the large-N analysis which shows that the theory is asymptotically exact and from which Migdal’s theorem follows as a consequence. We present analytical and numerical results for the case of an isotropic Fermi surface an...

Neutral Multi-Instanton as a Bridge from Weak to Strong Coupling phase in Two Dimensional QCD

Using a contour integral representation we analyze the multi-instanton sector in two dimensional U(N) Yang-Mills theory on a sphere and argue the role of multi-instanton in the large N phase transition. In the strong coupling region at the large N , we encounter “singular saddle point”. Because of this situation, “neutral” configurations of the multi-instanton are dominant in this region. Based...
